Low profile, 96-well 0.1mL PCR plate with no skirt. This universal plate design is compatible with all standard 0.1mL block thermal cyclers. Plate is easily oriented with corner notches and molded in alpha numeric. It is suitable for manual procedures but lacks gripping areas for automation.
The short well design optimizes assay conditions by reducing the distance between sample (in the well) and heated lid. By eliminating evaporation on the tube wall, PCR sample volumes are maintained, and the efficiency of the reaction is increased. This is especially important for low volume samples (<20ul).
Plates are manufactured of low extractable, medical grade polypropylene and colored white to optimize signal-to-noise ratio when performing fluorescent assays. White PCR plates increase the fluorescence level up to 10-fold for qPCR. This can reduce reagent need while further increasing detection.
Plates are thin and flexible, easily cut, manufactured of low extractable, optically clear, virgin, medical grade polypropylene specifically for the rigorous demands of the research laboratory. Uniformly thin-walls promote rapid even thermal transfer for consistent amplification and increased recovery rate.
Raised rims on each well help protect from cross contamination, minimize sample loss during storage, and make for enhanced sealing with adhesive films, silicone mats, or heat-sealing films.
