Ready-to-use Sabouraud Dextrose Agar Plates are used for qualitative cultivation of yeasts, molds, dermatophytes (organisms that need keratin to grow and often cause infections of the skin, hair, and nails), and aciduric microorganisms (organisms able to grow in the presence of acid).
Typically, 100 mm round plates are for growth/selection, while 150 mm round plates are for screening.
Contains 1% tryptone, 4% dextrose, and 1.5% agar.
