Our xylene-resistant ribbons are designed to withstand exposures to harshest chemicals used in pathology, histology and cytology labs. These ribbons in combination with our xylene-resistant labels are designed for printing labels in thermal-transfer printers for identification of microscope slides, tissue staining cassettes, bottles and other containers.
The labels printed with xylene-proof ribbons (solvent-proof ribbons) can withstand direct exposure to xylene, toluene, acetone, MEK (Methyl Ethyl Ketone), ACN (Acrylonitrile), DMSO (Dimethyl Sulfoxide), break fluid, histological stains such as hematoxylin and eosin and other organic solvents and chemicals for 30 minutes or more. We carry 2 types of xylene-resistant ribbons: TC- and XAR- class. The TC class ribbons can be used with our HTT- class xylene-resistant labels and the XAR- class ribbons can be used with our XST-class xylene-resistant labels. These chemical-resistant ribbons are designed for printing with major brands of thermal-transfer barcode printers such as Zebra, Datamax O’Neil, Citizen, Intermec, SATO and others.
In order to achieve true xylene-, toluene- and solvent-resistant printouts the TC and XAR ribbons must be used in combination with HTT and XST- labels from GA International Inc.
