Needles seat precisely to the zero graduation mark of the syringe. They are autoclavablewhen disassembled. They allow the use of different specification needles with the same barrel. The small ‘s’ next to the gauge number indicates a smaller bore size. Removable needles are made for use with removable needle (RN) syringes and will not work with any other hub.
Point Style 2 is a 22° beveled tip point recommended for septum penetration. The tip is slightly bent, partially obstructing the orifice and minimizing septum coring and needle plugging. See Thomas numbers 8928C40 and C43 for 26s and 22s, point style 2, needles.
Point Style 3 is a blunt (90°) needle point for use with HPLC injection valves and for sample pipetting.
