The interpretations by various auditors of the requirements of prepared filters for TSS and VSS analysis often differ from one regulatory body to the next. ProWeigh® Double filters from Environmental Express strictly document ALL preparation steps outlined in Standard Methods 2540D and E for prepared filters. ALL preparation steps are done for you.
Lasercut binderless glass fiber filters are:
- Washed 3 times with deionized water
- Dried at 103 - 105°C (ProWeigh Double filters for Volatile Suspended Solids are then ignited at 550°C for 15 minutes)
- Weighed to 0.1mg
- Re-dried or re-ignited at the appropriate temperature, and
- Reweighed to 0.1mg
- Placed in aluminum weigh pan
Pans are labeled with weights in print and barcode formats.
