The Oakton electrode storage bottle is used for pH electrodes that are up to 12 mm in diameter. A probe storage bottle is used to store an electrode during field and lab use. This bottle is to help protect an electrode from cracks, scratches, bumps, spills, and drying out. It helps keep the bulb moist, extend the life of the probe, and maintain accurate readings.
