The EM Series Electromantle incorporates the proven electrothermal coiled, flexible heating element in special insulation and features a “power on” indicator light.
The flexible heating element is suspended within a thermal insulated “former” to provide maximum heat transfer with minimum risk of flask breakage. The element is supplied as a complete cartridge for quick and simple replacement and has a maximum temperature of 450°C. The insulating former also ensures a safe, low outer case temperature. This design keeps the heat inside for safety and efficiency. Outer housing is constructed of chemical resistant and resilient polypropylene material.
Features include a built-in energy regulator with an arbitrary scale, “heater on” indicator light and an internal fuse. All units are available in eight flask capacities from 50 mL to 5,000 mL. The 5,000 mL mantles have two heating circuits with switching for the upper circuit.
The grounded model incorporates the safety (ground) screen. This pre-formed, stainless steel screen is fitted above the heating element and grounded directly to the supply cable, providing additional protection from spills or broken flasks. All mantles other than the 2,000 mL and 5,000 mL have a single support rod clamp that accepts 12.7 mm ( 1/2”) diameter support rods (not included). The 2,000 mL and 5,000 mL use three clamps.
