Column oven is completely solid state; the only moving parts are the cooling and chamber fan that maintains uniform temperature. Peltier-based design with no compressors or CFCs makes for high energy efficiency, using at most 230 watts of power. LCD display is 5/8" high and reads to 0.1°C with 0.2°C accuracy over the entire range of 4.0 to 70.0°C. Chamber fan provides temperature uniformity. User-settable electronic timer has alarm and auto-off to 99 hours, 59 minutes, 59 seconds. Timer and temperature display can be toggled with the touch of a button. Single point electronic calibration is accurate and easily reset and configured by the user. All commands are backed-up by a circuit that senses power failures and resets the unit to set point; with visual indicator. Self-check on power-up notifies user of any problems and assures trouble-free operation. Chamber includes separate valve and spill drains. Four mounting posts and included Viton O-rings hold columns securely in place. Door has a mounting hole for Rheodyne valves 7175, 7725, 8125 or 9125.
