Precise HEPA-Filtered Glove Boxes use inlet and outlet HEPA filters to provide operators with a physical protective barrier against hazardous airborne particulates and powders. These HEPA-filtered boxes have applications in pharmaceutical research, nanotechnology and biochemistry. Microorganisms, low-level radiochemicals, chemical carcinogens and asbestos may be used in these boxes. All models feature a one-piece molded medium-density polyethylene shell with a dry powder epoxy-coated steel superstructure. An easily removable 1/4 thick laminated safety glass viewing window measures 26.4” W x 12.5” H. The main chamber offers approximately 13 cu. ft of interior space while the transfer chamber has an 11.0” nominal ID and is 12” long. Box has a pair of 0.15” thick, size 9 3/4 neoprene gloves that are 30” in length. The inlet and outlet HEPA filters are 99.9% efficient on particulates down to 0.3 microns. A built-in blower controls airflow from 13 to 100 cfm. The box surpasses ASHRAE 110 standard with 0.05 ppm average trace gas level or less detected during perimeter scan testing.
