The AutoSystem NPD design offers quick and easy bead installation. You can be up and running within two hours! The NPD design incorporates a new cesium glass material as the ionization source. Heating the glass using closed-loop, AC control produces increased stability and results in improved detectability. The NPD mounts in the detector position at the top of the AutoSystem oven where one or two NPDs can be simultaneously operated and independently temperature controlled. The base of the NPD terminates in a 1/8 in. fitting for easy capillary or packed-column connections. 1/4 in. columns can be installed using an adapter. The NPD can be used for the analysis of organic compounds containing nitrogen or phosphorus down to the picogram level. The NPD has become the detector of choice for low level drug and pesticide applications because of its sensitivity and selectivity.
Kit includes detector, heater, sensor, heater block, and programmable pneumatic control for detector combustion gases with two beads. Requires but does not include amplifier (P/N N6120094). The AutoSystem XL GC must be PPC ready. If not, the PPC upgrade kit (P/N N6120146) is required. PerkinElmer Service installation is required but not included.
