Rapid transfer of proteins or nucleic acid molecules from polyacrylamide or agarose gels to membranes
- Traditional Southern, Northern and Western blotting methods
- Buffer contained within the blotting filter paper is sufficient for transfers
- High purity, 100% cotton fiber filter papers
Solid plate electrodes provide even transfer over entire gel area with low buffer volumes. Platinum/titanium plate and stainless steel electrodes are highly conductive and allow transfer at low voltages without external cooling systems.
Easy-to-turn knobs allow uniform pressure to be applied across the entire blotting stack for even transfers. Heavy-duty base provides stability on the bench top. Lid and attached power supply leads are safety interlocked to prevent electric shock. Lid is designed to ensure proper orientation of electric field.
The HEP-1 Semi-Dry Electroblotter can perform the entire procedure in as little as one hour. Unit includes base with built-in, stainless steel cathode plate; lid with built-in platinum/titanium anode plate; interlocking power supply leads; and three heavy-duty knobs. Transfer area (W x L, cm): 20 x 20; footprint (W x L x H, cm): 25 x 25 x 5.
The HEP-3 Semi-Dry Electroblotter can transfer an entire sequencing gel in two to three hours. Unit includes the same as above with four heavy-duty knobs. Transfer area (W x L, cm): 35 x 45; footprint (W x L x H, cm): 45 x 51 x 5.
