Application: Penicillin-Streptomycin-Neomycin is used to supplement cell culture media to control bacterial contamination.

Biochem/physiol Actions: Mode of Action: This product acts in three ways. Penicillin inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis. Streptomycin inhibits prokaryote protein synthesis by preventing the transition from initiation complex to chain-elongating ribosome, causing miscoding. Neomycin inhibits initiation and elongation during protein synthesis.

Components: This product is formulated to contain 5,000 units penicillin, 5 mg streptomycin and 10 mg neomycin/mL and is solubilized.
