General description: Human Interferon-γ (IFN-γ) is a Type I cytokine produced by the lymphocytes activated in response to specific antigens or mitogens. It has a pivotal role in activating primed macrophages for nonspecific tumoricidal activity as well as can stimulate monocytes for enhanced cytotoxicity against tumor cells. It also has several biological functions like inhibition of cell or tumor growth, promotion of B cell differentiation into plasma cells and antiviral activity. Further, it can enhance the cytotoxicity of natural killer cells and T-cells. Monoclonal anti-Interferon-γ−R-Phycoerythrin antibody reacts specifically with human IFN-γ.
Application: Monoclonal anti-Interferon-γ−R-Phycoerythrin antibody can be used in flow cytometry for detecting intracytoplasmic cytokines and enumerating cytokine-producing cells in a mixed population.
Immunogen: recombinant human IFN-gamma
Physical form: Solution in saline containing up to 0.5% bovine serum albumin and 0.1% sodium azide as a preservative.
Specificity: The conjugates will identify and quantitate cells containing intracellular forms of human IFN-gamma by flow cytometry.
Preparation Note: Purified antibody is conjugated to R-phycoerythrin (PE).
RIDADR: NONH for all modes of transport
