Application: Cerium(IV) sulfate tetrahydrate may be employed in the synthesis of alkyl esters of oxo acids and oxo acids, via reaction with 2-substituted cycloalkanone. It may be used in the preparation of 0.01M cerium(IV) sulfate in 2M sulfuric acid solution.
