ExAssist helper phage with XOLR allows mass excision of libraries in Lambda vector systems.
ExAssist contains an amber mutation that prevents replication of the phage genome in a nonsuppressing E. coli strain (e.g., XLOLR cells);XLOLR cells are resistant to Lambda infection prevent lambda DNA contamination after excision
The ExAssist helper phage with XOLR works with the Lambda expression vector system kits for mass excision of libraries in ZAP Express or Lambda ZAP vectors. The pCMV-Script or pBluescript phagemid will grow.
The ExAssist helper phage is designed to allow efficient in vivo excision of the pBK-CMV phagemid vector from the ZAP Express vector while preventing problems with helper phage co-infection. The ExAssist helper phage allows simple and rapid excision of multiple clones. Excision efficiency is monitored at the clonal level.
