Enable faster and easier cloning and sequencing procedures.
Derived from the pBluescript II phagemid.
Convenient selection when sub-cloning from ampicillin-resistant cloning vectors.
Contains a large and versatile polylinker, with 21 unique restriction enzyme recognition sites, in two orientations for cloning flexibility.
Features a chloramphenicol resistance gene that has replaced the ampicillin-resistance gene.
Available with f1 origin in either (+) or (-) orientation.
Suitable for a range of applications such as constructing nested deletions for DNA sequencing, generating RNA transcripts in vitro, and site-specific mutagenesis and gene mapping.
pBC phagemids are cloning vectors designed to simplify commonly used cloning and sequencing procedures. Phagemids are plasmids with a phage origin, and pBC phagemids are derived from the pBluescript II phagemid.
Applications include constructing nested deletions for DNA sequencing, generating RNA transcripts in vitro, and site-specific mutagenesis and gene mapping. The ampicillin-resistance gene in the vectors has been replaced with the chloramphenicol resistance gene.
This product is only available to U.S. Domestic Customers.
