General description: Immunoglobulin G (IgG) is a glycoprotein antibody that regulates immune responses such as phagocytosis and is also involved in the development of autoimmune diseases. Mouse IgGs have four distinct isotypes, namely, IgG1, IgG2a, IgG2b, and IgG3. IgG1 regulates complement fixation in mice.Goat anti-mouse IgG(Fc specific)-peroxidase antibody is specific for mouse IgG and mouse IgG, Fc fragment. The conjugate shows no reactivity with mouse Fab fragment, human IgG, IgA, IgM, kappa and lambda light chain, bovine IgG and IgM, or horse IgG.
Application: Specificity of a new antibody for PND in blood from immunized mice was tested by Elisa using biotynlated PND and streptavidin coated plates. HRP conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG (Fc specific) was used as secondary.
Application: Goat anti-mouse IgG (Fc specific)-peroxidase antibody can be used for immunoblotting studies using bovine whole muscle extracts and porcine tissues. Furthermore, the antibody can also be used for western blotting assays using bovine tissue homogenates.
Physical form: Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline pH 7.4, containing 0.01% thimerosal.
Preparation Note: Adsorbed to reduce background staining with bovine, horse, or human samples.
Preparation Note: Prepared by the two-step glutaraldehyde method described by Avrameas, S., et al., Scand. J. Immunol., 8, Suppl. 7, 7 (1978).
Other Notes: Antibody adsorbed with bovine, equine and human serum proteins.
RIDADR: NONH for all modes of transport
