Description: Purified mouse monoclonal antibody reactive to Ebola virus (EBOV) matrix protein (VP40). The antibody detects EBOV VP40 in virus-like particles (VLP) and EBOV recombinant VP40 (rVP40) by ELISA.

Clonality: Monoclonal of the IgG2a isotype
Relevance: The antibody can be used for detection of EBOV VP40 matrix protein.
Recommended Dilutions:
ELISA: Assay-dependent dilution
Western Blot: Not recommended for Western Blot because the antibody recognizes conformational epitope.
Storage: 2-3 weeks +4°C, -20°C long term. Avoid multiple freeze thaws.
Cross Reactivity: Cross-reactivity was observed against Sudan Virus (SUDV) VP40 in VLP and SUDV rVP40 protein. No cross reactivity was observed with Marburg Virus (MARV) VP40 in MARV VLPs or MARV rVP40.
