Description: Virus-like Particles (VLP’s) expressing recombinant Sudan virus (SUDV) glycoprotein (GP), nucleoprotein (NP), and matrix protein (VP40). These VLP’s are produced in Sf9 insect cells through infection with a recombinant baculovirus.
Size: 1 mg of protein supplied in PBS (supplemented with glycerol, arginine and glutamic acid) at a concentration of 1.828 mg/mL.
Relevance: Since these VLP’s mimic Sudan virus but do not contain genetic material, thus are not infectious and make an ideal candidate as a vaccine and also as a tool to enhance filovirus research.
Storage: 2-3 weeks at -20°C, -80°C long term.
Intended for research use only, not for human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
