Total and Volatile Solids Testing
Ahlstrom-Munksjo offers binder-free microfiber glass filters suitable for use in gravimetric analysis involving ignition of the sample. These filters are also effective for measuring solids in water. Grade 169 is an alternative to Whatman 934-AH that is designed for Volatile Solids Testing and formulated specifically to maintain a stable weight at 550 deg C and show similar handling characteristics before and after 30 minutes in a 600 deg C furnace. Grade 161 is an economical alternative for Total Solids Testing that was previously known as E-D 161.
- Recommended for Standard Test Methods 2540C, 2540D, and 2540E
- Fine particle retention with high sample loading
- Customizable sizes and packaging
Quartz Filter Paper
Ahlstrom-Munksjo offers two quartz products for a complete offer for airborne particulate monitoring in high temperature and aggressive atmospheres or for high purity in analysis.
Grade MK 5 - Air Monitoring Quartz Filter
Ahlstrom-Munksjo offers a new grade of high-purity binder-free quartz suitable for air monitoring applications in high temperatures and aggressive atmospheres or when low levels of trace elements are required. Grade MK 5 can be used up to 500°C.
Grade MK 360 - 100% High Purity Quartz Filter
This 100% quartz microfiber filter is available for applications requiring extremely low levels of trace elements or media that can withstand temperatures between 500°C and 900°C.
