24-Hour Turnaround

Thomas ships over 98% of domestic orders for in-stock items the same day we receive them or the very next day. We're extremely proud of this record! Our exclusive order entry system, EDI, or internet site allow us to process orders quickly. On request, we can even assure overnight delivery of a customer's order via national and international carriers.

Competitive Prices & Quotations

You'll find our prices are competitive whether you are purchasing one item or thousands. Be sure to check with Thomas first whenever you are pricing a large multi-item order or an order of a single item you need in a large quantity. We also invite you to let us quote on your annual purchasing requirements as your prime supplier of laboratory products. If you cannot find an item in our catalog, please contact our Customer Service Department for assistance. Prices shown in the Thomas catalog, including normal quantity discounts, are those in effect at the time we went to press and are subject to change without notice. Prices charged will be those in effect at the time of shipment, unless special terms or quotations have been provided.

Reserved Stock & Storerooms

When you expect to use a certain number of items over a given length of time, but your need for them varies (i.e. more one month than another) you may place a standing order for the entire
amount. Thomas will hold the entire amount for you. When you need an item, just let us know; you will receive the items you need when you require them, without the cost associated with maintaining a large inventory of your own. Canceled or discontinued customer products can be added back to our inventory at a nominal restocking charge. In effect, we become your laboratory storeroom, and reduce your inventory and purchasing costs.

We can also set up a storeroom at your location and manage the inventory for you. This relieves you of burdensome details and assures you that your laboratory will be well supplied at all times.

We can also provide stock on a consignment basis; another way to reduce purchasing costs.

Blanket Orders

Your purchasing department can issue a single blanket order to cover laboratory requirements of miscellaneous, day-to-day supplies, glassware and chemicals. Purchasing conditions such as dollar
limitations, duration of ordering period and personnel authorized to use the blanket order are specified directly on the purchase order. Releases can be issued by authorized persons in the participating departments. This allows small but non-routine orders to be filled quickly and efficiently in a controlled fashion.

Standing Orders

Place a standing order with us for any item or items with specific delivery schedules in the quantities you will require. We will automatically deliver these items as specified in your standing order. This method of purchasing assures you of timely shipments of your needed items without the necessity of remembering to place repetitive orders. Furthermore, quantity discounts based
on the value of the entire order may be available. Your standing order can always be modified.

Payment Terms

After credit responsibility has been established with us, terms are net 30 days for customers in the U.S. and Canada. Payment by customers in other countries may be made through a US dollar draft drawn to the order of Thomas Scientific, or confirmed irrevocable letter of credit on a US bank , preferably in the Philadelphia area. Other terms may be arranged after credit responsibility has been established. Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT) are also available. VISA, MasterCard and American Express are accepted.

Pricing & Specifications

Prices in this catalog are those that were in effect at the time of publication. Prices are subject to change without notice. Manufacturer specifications for products or certain models may change or be discontinued without notice. In the event of product unavailability, Thomas will attempt to recommend a suitable alternative.

Minimum Order

There is no minimum order requirement. However, due to the expense involved with handling small orders, any order under $75.00 will be assessed a handling charge in addition to applicable shipping and hazardous material charges.

Shipment Claims

Please inspect all shipments upon receipt. If external damage is evident, accept the shipment only after the carrier's driver has noted the damage on all copies of the delivery receipt. Immediately
request that the carrier make an inspection and contact our Customer Service Department. If upon opening a shipment you discover concealed damage, please request a carrier inspection within 15 days of delivery and then contact our Customer Service Department.

Returns

Should you need to return a product, please contact our Customer Service Department for a Return Goods Authorization. We ask that returns are made within 30 days and that the product
is in the original packaging with all manuals, instructions, warnings and warranties. Product returns not meeting these terms may be refused and returned to sender (freight collect). All returns may
be subject to a restocking charge. Product must also be in like-new condition and free from contamination.

Items generally not subject to return include:

  1. Items not purchased from Thomas Scientific®.
  2. Items purchased from Thomas Scientific on a "Special Order" basis, (unless we can return them to the vendor for credit).
  3. Products which have been customized, modified or damaged.

At Thomas, we regard service after the sale to be just as important as service before the sale. Trained and experienced technicians, both in the field and in our central service and repair laboratory, can make most of the needed repairs of products we sell.
