This perfusate oxygenator incorporates the same techniques that are used in modern heart/lung machines. Oxygenator consists of a water jacketed glass column and three gas permeable tubes that furnish rapid gas exchange with minimal perfusate volume. The perfusate can be circulated either on the outside or inside of the Teflon tubes with gas or different liquid in the opposite compartment.
