Heart/Lung/Organ baths
Fully water jacketed
Easy to clean
These chambers are fully water jacketed and have an extra wide opening with a top and threaded ring. The top has a support rod and four large ports. Each port has a Twist-it latex stopper with two or three sealed holes. The rubber seals at the bottom of the holes securely hold cannula and other instruments, while allowing quick and easy positioning. The stoppers can be rotated to set the correct spacing between the atrial and aortic cannula or other cannula and probes.
The bottom of the heart chamber has a two port plug and threaded retaining cap, both of which exit in a female luer taper for easy tubing and stopcock combinations. Ports can be used for oxygenation with a titanium aeration disk, for empty/fill, for passage of a bile or urinary cannula and for passage of filament to a force transducer contractile force measurements. Coronary flow can be collected in the bottom of the bath and allowed to exit either of the two ports.
Large, snap-on water jacket fittings provide higher flow rates for better heating capacity. Water jacket connections can be quickly removed so the chamber can be easily cleaned.
