Spherical Flash Silica
Spherical media can be operated at high flow rates without generating high backpressure or loss of separation efficiency. Pressure drop across spherical media remains below 5 psi compared to over 10 psi for traditional flash silica. The spherical silica column provides complete separation of toluene, diethyl phthalate and dimethyl phthalate at all linear velocities. This separation performance is the result of optimal porosity and surface activity for rapid diffusion of the analyte of interest. Due to higher porosity, this material can be used for separating larger organic compounds (molecular weight of up to 5000).
