The stainless steel cell spreader has a smooth triangle end with a straight spreading bar. The spreader easily smoothes the bacterial cells evenly over the entire agar surface of culture dishes and plates.
Spreaders come in two sizes. Both spreaders are 8" long, with a 3/16" (4.8 mm) handle diameter. Small spreaders for 6 cm plates have a spreading bar 0.62" (16 mm) wide. Large spreaders for 9 cm plates have a spreading bar 1.0" (25 mm) wide.
