The PMA2200 radiometer accepts detectors covering UV, Visible and IR wavelengths. Intelligent Detector Technology allows the user to interchange detectors without losing the functionality of a single purpose meter. This streamlined model makes all functions easily operated directly from the keypad. The two-line LCD with anti-glare screen displays minimum, maximum and average readings in user-selectable units.
Ideal for measuring light from UV to IR, SPF testing of sunscreens and cosmetics, accelerated UV exposure testing, photostability testing, photobiological studies, phototoxicity research and quality assurance for UV sterilization equipment.
Detectors for PMA2200 Radiometer
UVB DETECTOR gives an accurate measurement of biologically weighted ultraviolet radiation from sunlight or artificial light sources, also called sun-burning radiation. The biologic effectiveness of ultraviolet radiation is strongest for wavelengths between 280 to 320 nm, classified as UV-B by the CIE organization.
UVB DETECTOR (UNDERWATER) measures UVB penetration into fresh or salt water. Measurements taken with this detector are comparable to those made by submersible spectroradiometers. Wavelength range is 280-320nm.
UVA/UVB DETECTOR gives an accurate measurement of non-weighted UVB+UVA ultraviolet radiation from sunlight or artificial light sources and has a wavelength range of 280-400nm.
UVA DETECTOR provides fast and accurate irradiance measurement in the UVA region. Its spectral response covers the 320 to 400nm range. The measured irradiance is displayed in mW/cm2 or W/m2. Consequently, the integrated does is shown in Joules/cm2 or kJoules/m2. This detector has a resolution of 0.001 mW/cm2 and a full scale of 200 mW/cm2, allowing measurement of very weak and very strong signals from the same detector.
UV CURING/PRINTING PROBE is a UV-A radiometer sensitive to radiation in the range from 320 to 400 nm with the peak sensitivity around the 365nm mercury emission line. Its construction places the UV sensor far from the point of measurement, making the probe suitable for high temperature applications, up to 400°C.
BLUE LIGHT SAFETY DETECTOR measures the blue light radiation hazard to eyes for a wide range of occupations. The detector indicates the effective irradiance weighted with the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) Spectral Weighting Function for blue light hazard. Light sources that may produce a blue light hazard include: monochromatic and collimated lasers as well as collimated arc, or tungsten lamps (e.g. search lamps). Wavelength range is 400-520nm.
UV GERMICIDAL DETECTOR provides fast and accurate irradiance measurements of the effective germicidal radiation. Ultraviolet radiation at 253.7nm has been used in germicidal applications for several decades.
PHOTOPIC DETECTOR is a portable illumination detector (Lux detector) with spectral response following the CIE photopic action spectrum. This detector is designed to have a spectral response like that of the human eye's visual response in the photopic region and has a wavelength range of 180-280nm.
SCOTOPIC DETECTOR is a portable illumination detector (Lux detector) with spectral response following the CIE scotopic action spectrum. This detector is designed to have a spectral response like that of the human eye?s visual response in the photopic (dark adapted) region and has a wavelength range of 400-750nm.
PAR DETECTOR measures the photon flux in wavelength range from 400 to 700 nm. The detector has a waterproof enclosure and can operate outdoors or in a wet environment.
