Fresh air monitoring with acoustic alarm and automatic heating cut-off
FDL safety oven is designed for drying paint and other combustible inorganic solvents. Applications include the automotive, aircraft, and appliances industries and in chemicals manufacturing. Fresh air is drawn in through the easily replaceable filter cartridge, heated and horizontally forced over the sample, and exhausted out the 100mm-diameter rear top vent. Symmetrical air conduction and defined airflow rates ensures reproducibility and definition of non-volatile compounds (NFA via ISO 3251). This unit fulfills all of the safety regulations for handling substances containing solvents in accordance with EN 1539 (formally VBG 24). The unit includes a safety device TWB class 2 (Din12880) with acoustic and visual alarms if the required air exchange is not met.
The oven heats to 300°C in 44 minutes and is accurate to ±4°C at 300°C, even at high exchange rates and dense sample loading, due to the patented preheating chamber technology. The airtight housing prevents uncontrollable penetration of vapors. Sample monitoring may be achieved via an independent (optional) sensor. Heat load is adjustable from 0 to 100%. A unique 2-point door closure ensures optimum sealing of the chamber. The stainless steel interior and smooth surfaces allow for fast and easy cleaning. Heavily insulated walls improve operator safety due to low housing temperatures. The unit is supplied with two chrome-plated shelves. Unit is equipped with a Viton® door gasket for use to 250°C. An optional silicone gasket for use above 250°C is available. The FDL is 2900W, 50/60Hz., and CE approved.
