Legaci™ refrigeration system designed for ultra-low temperature freezers. Utilize custom-made compressors and CFC-free refrigerant to provide reliability for critical material storage to -86°C (-122°F).
Pressure equalization port (PEP™) on all upright -86°C and -40°C ultra low freezers. This port is designed to relieve the inner chamber vacuum caused by rapid cool-down under extreme temperature differentials. Such a vacuum typically occurs in upright freezers under positive door seal when ambient air is introduced following door openings.
High-strength cabinet construction, sub-lids, inner doors, casters and an optional inventory system. Cryo Latch handle is standard on all upright, ultra-low temperature freezers for superior comfort and control of door opening.

Ultima II freezers have an operating range of -40° to -86°C and range in size from 3.0 to 24.4 cu. ft. Additional features include a multi-level key-switch security system, digital display, RS 232 data port, clean filter light, cam latches and insulated upper doors on upright models.

Include all the features of the standard Ultima II freezers but provide thin wall construction which increases storage capacity without increasing lab space. Most efficient, high capacity unit (32 cu. ft.) can store up to 70,000 vials. Composite wall design maximizes interior space by decreasing wall thickness from five inches to 2 5/8 inches
