Flat and Round Bottoms
• For the extraction of soaps, fats, foods, rubber, etc. by both organic and inorganic solvents
• These thimbles offer the advantages of being rapid, durable and readily cleaned by ignition
• 4395L15 Thimble is used in asphalt extraction apparatus for ASTM Standard D 367; AASHTO T-81; and Barrett tests B-7 and H-5A
Thimbles 4395K10, K12 and L10 through L17 are flat bottom; thimbles 4935K25 and K27 are round bottom. Medium porosity timbles, Norton grade AN-889, retain particles of approximately 5 µm size. Coarse porosity thimbles, Norton grade AN-485, retain particles of approximately 20 µm size.
