Nucleotide Precursors

Nucleotide precursors are essential biomolecules that are a building block for the synthesis of nucleic acids (DNA and RNA) nucleotides.
Nucleotides are crucial components in applications such as genetic information storage, transmission, and expression in living organisms. The three main components include sugar, a phosphate group, and a nitrogenous base. Nucleotides are also essential in applications that can provide DNA replication and repair and be the foundation for evolution and adaptation.
It’s common to use nucleotide analogs in targeted treatment, research tools, and PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) within medicine, research, and biotechnology applications. Some nucleotide analogs can also be used for antiviral and anticancer therapies.
Additionally, nucleotide precursors are essential in the lab when investigating genetic information, genetic function, and various processes.
