Thomas Brand Fast Response pH Electrodes offer many features to help overcome electrode problems:

All Thomas Fast Response electrodes (except semi-micros) come furnished with soaker bottles for long term storage and immediate startup. Fill solutions are also included on all refillable models. Shelf life in storage is approximately 4-6 months on gelled models and 3 years on refillable models. Glass models have a 0-100°C range, while epoxy models have a 0-80°C range.

Semi-Micro pH Electrodes

Glass bodied semi-micro models have wide range (blue) pH glass, refillable references, double reference chambers and annular ceramic junctions. Choose from 2 lengths and 3 diameters. These double reference glass models are a preferred replacement for calomel electrodes or applications involving Tris buffers. All refillable models use neutral KNO₃ fill solution.

Epoxy body semi-micro models have the wide range pH glass bulbs with sealed references, single junctions and ceramic frit junctions for economy. These single junction models are not suitable for tris buffers due to their Ag/AgCl fill solution.

Models 4080B30, B32, B40 and B42, 4 mm semi-micro electrodes are ideal to use with 96 well plates and can measure volumes as low as 120mL. Refill Solutions: 4080B30 through B72 use Thomas number 4124A12.

Food/Agar pH Electrodes

Spear tip models have glass bodies, pointed tough glass tips, double reference chambers and annular ceramic junctions. Dimensions: 8 mm dia. x 150 mm long; 65 mm insertion depth. Refillable models use KNO₃ fill solution.

Flat tip models have high speed glass, double reference chambers and porous polymer junctions. Dimensions: 12 mm dia. x 150 mm long. Refillable models use KNO₃ fill solution.

Refill Solutions: 4080D27 and D47 use Thomas number 4124A12.
