Thomas offers a range of restriction enzymes in specific concentrations to allow protocol standardization. Most of the enzymes are delivered at a standardized concentration of 10U/µL.
Activity of restriction enzymes is maintained when stored at -20°C.
Each restriction enzyme is supplied with the corresponding 10X concentrated incubation buffer in color-coded tubes with BSA solution provided separately. Optimal performance is obtained by adding BSA to the 10X concentrated buffer. Concentrated buffers come in 900 µL volumes to which 100 µL BSA solution 10 mg/mL is added for a 1000 µL stock solution 10X concentrated. Incubation buffer with BSA should be stored at +4°C.
