For determination of color of petroleum products as an indicator of degree of refinement. Perform visual determinations by comparing of sample and standard through a split field viewer. The light source, filters and sample are placed in a separate compartment from the optics and lenses. Sample jars (not included) are introduced through a hinged cover on top; see 7124C40 or use clear glass jars with flat bottoms, 30 to 35 mm dia., 115 to 121 mm high. The removable steel housing has a baked epoxy-resin finish for easy cleaning. Dimensions: 7" x 20" x 8 1/2" (178 x 508 x 216 mm).
