Applications include unattended restriction digestions or ligations; producing denatured probes or single stranded molecules; growing bacteria; oocyte storage; incubations; storing enzymes or DNA libraries at a workstation; cooling blood samples prior to coagulation testing; and more.

The small, compact size uses very little bench space. The heating/chilling surface is a 2.875” x 4.375” aluminum plate that is very flat for good contact with the sample. Two-line, alphanumeric, backlit display normally shows target and actual temperatures, but can also be used to display temperature, timer and all programming functions (on the IC25). Count-down timer (up to 30 days) has an audible alarm and user settable Auto-Off. Electronic calibration is factory set, but user settable to any local standard. The buffer can be set to collect temperature data points in one second, one minute or five minute intervals to 7,825 data points. Unit features RS232 I/O port for data collection. Unit features 12 Volt DC operation with included external power supply. Unit is UL, CSA and CE compliant and has a one-year manufacturer’s warranty.

The IC25 also has a five-program memory. Each program can store up to 10 steps and is stored in CMOS. Programs can be set to repeat up to 99 times.
