Place monitors in autoclave along with items to be sterilized. Thick walled glass vial contains a temperature sensitive pellet which melts when correct temperature is reached. Attached thread allows vial to be suspended in a bio-hazard bag (add 200 mL water to bag) and to remove it to verify sterilization.
