Provide rapid, clean and safe blending of samples in sealed bag
Constructed of sturdy cast aluminum alloy
Microprocessor controlled
Safety interlock on door
Prevent sample cross contamination
Applications include sample processing in food microbiology; removal of viruses and bacteria from tissues and organs; sterility testing of creams, ointments or dry powders for pharmaceuticals; removal of organisms from swabs, filters, tissue biopsies and fecal samples. Timer can be set for 30, 60 or 120 second runs (3500T has an adjustable timer). Paddle speed is variable on all Stomachers.
Units are designed for convenience and easy maintenance. Samples are blended in disposable bags and never touch the instrument. This eliminates the need to clean-up or sterilize blender cups and blades. Bag is tightly clamped by closed door to prevent aerosol release; bag can also be heat sealed to isolate sample. All Stomachers have a three-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Model 80 - Compact unit takes up less space and is ideal for applications with smaller sample sizes in research labs, hospitals, universities and specialty labs.
Model 400C - Improved paddle design retains convenience and reliability of original Stomacher while enhancing crushing, stirring, processing and organism recovery.
Model 3500 - Gentle paddle action makes unit well suited for the blending of powders, chocolate and pathological samples. The large sample volume capacity makes this volume ideal for clinical labs, food processing and many industrial applications.
Model 3500W - Large blending area is designed to accommodate the bulky filters and large volumes of washing solutions needed to extract the parasites Cryptosporidium and Giardia from water filters. The gentle washing action ensures reliable extraction of organisms or chemical residues from filters.
Model 3500T - Unit is designed for the testing of pork meat for Trichinella. A thermostatically controlled heating panel inside the door maintains a 40°C temperature. The stomaching, heating and enzymatic digestion procedure can be accomplished in one hour.
