RS232 interface
Single-position stirrer is controlled by microprocessor; can be set for one stir speed, range (unloaded) 100-1500 rpm ±20 rpm. Temperature is controlled by microprocessor and temperature can be measured at the plate surface by internal sensor or at the sample by platinum RTD probe (available on special order) to 1°C. Temperature can be ramped up or down at a given rate, which can be set from 1°C/hr. to 555°C/hr. or 1°F/hr. to 999°F/hr.; range to 400°C.
Timer can be set in HR/MIN to 99 hours and 99 minutes or MIN/SEC to 99 minutes and 99 seconds. Includes AUTO-OFF function and plate hot indicator that flashes red when plate surface exceeds 50°C (122°F). Also has CLEAR and HEATER OFF keys and an audible alarm. Hot plate can be remotely controlled by Models 740 and 750 Multi Controllers.
Case is designed to protect electronics from spills. Keyboard is shielded by a clear, soft plastic cover. Chassis are aluminum with durable, epoxy-painted surfaces. Cast aluminum tops heat and cool faster and more evenly and allow for good contact between plate and the object being heated. Heater tops flat to 0.001 inches corner to corner. Overall dimensions 8” x 10” x 4 1/2” high; hot plate 7” x 7”. Complete with instruction manual, fused AC power jack and three-wire grounded plug and AC line cord; 50/60 Hz, 700 W. Stir bar is not included.
