Silica gel 60 Å flexible plates come in a single 20 x 20 cm size and are designed for economy and convenience. Plates can be cut with scissors to match individual separation requirements, making them useful for applications that require rapid sample isolation or elution prior to other analytical techniques.
Silica gel 60 Å flexible plates offer selectivity similar to that of glass backed plates and are widely applicable for moderately to strongly polar analytes. Ion exchange plates (DEAE - diethylaminoethyl tertiary amine) are used for anionic species and are available on polyester-backed material.
Aluminum backing is useful for applications requiring charring while polyester-backed plates can be heated up to 110°C and are compatible with mobile phase containing strong acids or bases.
Plates are 250 µm thick except for 1232A38 Ion exchange plate which is 100 µm thick.
