Each Mini-UniPrep consists of two parts: a chamber and a plunger. The design incorporates a filtration membrane on one end of the plunger and a pre-attached cap/septum on the other. By pressing the plunger through liquid placed in the chamber, positive pressure forces the filtrate up through the membrane into the reservoir of the plunger. Air escapes through the vent hole until the locking ring is engaged providing an air-tight seal. The unit can then be placed into any approved autosampler designed to accommodate 12 x 32 mm vials. The Compressor (4621T36) can make the job easier, especially for viscous or particulate-laden samples.
Mini-UniPrep models with slit septa (1233W46-1233W69) are for automated sampling and feature slit septa cap and translucent housing.
Amber Mini-UniPrep models (1233W70-1233W81) are for light sensitive samples and feature a standard cap with amber housing.
