While many magnetic stirring bars are impeded by powders in a liquid, the Saturn Spinbar overcomes this problem. A large bulb in the bars center lifts the stirring bars ends while spinning thereby reducing surface contact area and allowing the bar to spin with decreased drag. The stirring bar is available with a length of 1.5” or 2” (40 or 50 mm) to match with a range of flat and round bottom vessels. Saturn Spinbar Magnetic Stirring Bars are made from inert and chemical-resistant FDA grade PTFE and Teflon brand quality to protect solutions from contaminants. Bars are autoclavable at 121°C (250°F) for use in sterile solutions.
