Lamps for HPLC Detectors are produced using a new manufacturing process that results in more consistent operation characteristics. Lamps feature a more robust, more evenly coated cathode to produce a light source with greater stability - reduced noise and drift - over an operating lifetime that has been increased by up to 50%. Improvements apply to both Diode Array Detectors (DAD) and Multiple Wavelength Detectors (MWD). Deuterium lamps for the 1100 Series are designed with a narrow aperture, which provides increased light intensity and decreased noise, translating into a higher signal-to-noise ratio.
