Acid Spill Kit (8238A12)
Contains 3.2 kg box of NEUTRASORB®, an indicating type acid neutralizer powder, for use on spills of sulfuric, sulfurous, nitric, hydrochloric, perchloric, phosphoric, hydrobromic or hydriodic acid in maximum reagent grade concentration; not suitable for hydrofluoric, fuming nitric or fuming sulfuric acids.
Kit also includes one pair of Neoprene gloves, safety glasses, scoop, five plastic bags with ties and labels and instructions.
Caustic Spill Kit (8238A22)
Contains 1.2 kg box of NEUTRACIT® -2, an indicating type caustic neutralizer powder for use on caustic spills including sodium hydroxide, ammonium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide solutions.
Kit also includes one pair of Neoprene gloves, safety glasses, scoop, five plastic bags with ties and labels and instructions.
NEUTRACIT®-2 Neutralizer for Caustic Spills (8238A24)
A quick, standardized, effective response for eliminating corrosive and toxic hazards. Provides many of the same safety and convenience features as NEUTRASORB®does for acids.
Controlled reaction rate eliminates splattering. Heat of reaction is released safely as carbon dioxide. Built-in indicator changes color when neutralization is complete.
After complete neutralization, waste materials are neutralized citrate salts of the treated caustic.
Solvent Spill Kit (8238A30)
Contains 1-1kg bag of SOLUSORB®, an adsorbent powder that quickly soaks up solvent, strongly binding the solvent to prevent rapid evaporation.
Each bag is sufficient for approximately 235 mL of solvent. Especially suitable for flammable solvents with flash points below 100°F (37.8°C). Flash point of the SOLUSORB®-solvent combination substantially higher than that of solvent alone. Includes one pair of neoprene gloves, one pair of safety glasses, two scoops and two plastic bags with ties and labels for disposal.
Kit contains CINNASORB® powder to be made into a paste with water to form amalgam with mercury droplets and RESISORB® powder for sprinkling into cracks and crevices, following CINNASORB® procedure, to counteract vapor from mercury not recovered. There is sufficient material to deal with spills of up to 25 mL (335 grams) of mercury. Kit also includes aspirator bottle to pick up larger mercury, one pair of gloves, scoop, sponge, two wooden spatulas, two waste bottles and plastic bag with tie and label for disposal.
