Individual units feature a self-centered hanging design that prevents medium wicking between the insert and outer well. Suspended design allows for undamaged co-culturing of cells in the lower compartment.
Transwell cell culture inserts are easy-to-use permeable support devices for the study of both anchorage-dependent and anchorage-independent cell lines. Inserts allow polarized cells to feed basolaterally and thereby carry out metabolic activities in a more natural fashion.
Both the 0.4 µm and 3.0 µm pore size units are packaged in a 100mm dish with 12 inserts per case.
