Ahlstrom's GenSaver™ cards are treated with a new-to-market proprietary chemistry for the long-term stabilization of DNA. Stabilizing chemistry prevents environmentally induced degradation for a currently tested shelf life of 20 years. Nucleic acids can easily be extracted from the biosamples for subsequent analysis.
GenSaver™ white format cards are recommended for easily identified samples, such as whole blood or other tinted samples. The paper is made of high purity, absorbent fibers to provide a rapid and safe way to collect, transport, and store biological samples at ambient temperature.
GenSaver™ cards are recommended for long-term structural and chemical preservation of genomic DNA from blood samples. They are compatible with downstream applications including genomics, biobanking, human identification (STR and NGS profile), animal identification, plasmid screening, and transgenic identification.
Available in standard card formats with 1, 2, or 4 spots for sample collection.
