The C-KurTAG™ tamper-evident cryogenic labels are made from special plastic materials which are water-proof and can withstand extremely low temperatures such as -196ºC in liquid nitrogen tanks. These labels are designed for long-term storage in liquid nitrogen (liquid phase and vapor phase liquid nitrogen), dry ice, ultra-low temperature freezers (-120°C, -80°C, -40°C, -20°C) and refrigerators.
Plastic waterproof cryo labels will tear into pieces upon attempt to remove. Ideal for cryogenic vials and containers that require tamper-evidence when stored in liquid nitrogen, dry ice and freezers. Sophisticated and practical design adds rigidity and strength to reduce accidental seal ruptures, yet destructs easily upon attempts to remove. Can be printed with thermal-transfer barcode printers.
Specifications: Special design and security features allow easy printing, manipulation and application to various types of vials, tubes and containers. Once applied to the container the labels will tear-up or destroy upon any attempt to remove them at room temperatures or at frozen state. The cryogenic adhesive can handle temperatures as low as -269ºC (-452ºF) in liquid helium. C-KurTAGS can remain securely and firmly attached to the vials and containers for 10 years or more inside liquid nitrogen tanks in liquid phase liquid nitrogen at -196ºC (-320ºF) or in vapor phase liquid nitrogen.
Intended Application: These labels are ideal for secure storage and transportation of valuable biological samples, hazardous and infectious viruses and microbes, high value embryos, oocytes and semen for animal breeding such equine semen, bull semen, canine semen and other biological materials. Furthermore they can be used for tamper-proof sealing of other objects, electronic devices and appliances from -196°C to +45°C.
Printing: Printing of tamper-proof cryo labels can be easily done in any major brand of thermal transfer barcode printer such as Zebra, Sato, Datamax, CAB, Intermec, Printronix, Cognitive, Paxar, Monarch, certain models of Brady and other printers. We can provide these and other tamper-evident labels in any color, printed with logo, graphic information, barcodes, serial numbers according to specifications.
