Precut lengths of narrow bore capillary tubing (0.38 mm ID) with a flared end is recommended for use with barrel nebulizers in Hi-vac mode and with aqueous solutions. This tubing is also recommended for samples that have relatively low levels of dissolved solids. Wide bore capillary tubing (0.64 mm ID) is recommended for use with barrel nebulizers in the high solids position and with samples that have high levels of dissolved salts. This tubing is also recommended for use with the adjustable nebulizer when aspirating organic solvents.
