YSI will continue to support existing 556’s through 2020. The Professional Plus (Pro Plus) or ProDSS handheld instruments are suitable replacements.

Rugged and reliable, the YSI 556 Multi-Probe System (MPS) combines the versatility of an easy-to-use, easy-to-read handheld unit with the functionality of a multi-parameter system. Features an IP-67 impact-resistant case and is GLP conforming. Unit is powered by alkaline batteries or an optional rechargeable battery pack with fast-charge feature. Optional internal barometer can be user-calibrated and displayed along with other data, used in dissolved oxygen calibrations, and logged to memory for tracking changes in barometric pressure. Instrument comes standard with a soft-sided carrying case with enough space for the meter, a 20 m cable, and calibrating supplies. Dimensions: 4.7” W x 9” L.
