Measures in Refractive Index, Brix or one of five user set scales. Unit is fully programmable through any standard PC. Programming allows for multi-level scales. The menu-driven LCD shows date, time, current temperature, measurement results, measurement temperature and more. Tubing nozzles allow a circulating constant temperature bath to be hooked up to unit for use in higher-end temperature situations. Conical, stainless steel, sink-like stage houses the durable prism. Composite cover plate is extremely lightweight with incredible opacity to eliminate stray light. Requires only enough sample to cover the prism to take readings. RS 232 interface.
Model RX-5000α features a internal Peltier heating/cooling mechanism and does not require a constant temperature bath. Unit has a temperature range of 5.00 to 60.00°C. The unit displays the reading when the prism and sample are heated or cooled to the target temperature.
Model RX-5000α Bev has a flat stage that replaces the sample well. Suitable for measuring beverages, it has the same features as the RX-5000α .

The RX-7000α is a modified version of the highly accurate RX-5000α model with wider measurement ranges (refractive index and temperature). The RX-7000α is best suited for measuring sample that have a high melting point (oils and fats) and samples that have a higher refractive index (perfumes, organic solvents, etc.). Unit is equipped with a Peltier thermo module for maintaining a constant measuring temperature, eliminating the need for an external water bath. If the top and bottom limits of standard value are set, top and bottom limit bar is displayed together with the measured value. The unit has a manual calibration facility which compensates the difference between standard liquids and measurement values by other refractometers.
The RX-9000α is a highly accurate, fully automatic digital refractometer. Designed with a wide measurement range and measurement temperature range, this instrument is suitable for multiple sample types; such as measuring oils and fats with high melting points, aroma oils of high refractive index and organic solvents, meeting demands for high accuracy measurements. The RX-9000α has a built-in Peltier thermo module for maintaining a constant sample temperature while taking measurements.
The RX-007α is suitable for measuring water soluble samples with very low concentrations (5.000% or less) such as tea (green tea, black tea, oolong tea) and low sugar beverages at a very high accuracy of ±0.005%.
