Solid State electrodes have solid, homogeneous sensing elements. They are more rugged and easier to clean than glass or membrane sensors. Polishing strips for the solid state sensors are included with the electrode.
Thomas also offers a half-cell version that requires a double junction reference electrode. A separate reference electrode can be used with more than one type half-cell ISE, saving some cost. Double junction reference electrodes allow the use of special outer chamber electrolyte formulas which can avoid or reduce interferences from other ions.
Electrodes measure 12 mm diameter x 145 mm length and are equipped with a one meter cable and BNC type connector.
