Specially designed plates convert a transilluminator’s ultraviolet to other wavelengths to expand capabilities and excite a wider range of stained gels.
The UV/White Converter Plates convert UV to white light for viewing protein gels, Coomassie blue, Instant Blue or silver stained media. The Converter Plate’s uniquely phosphored Plexiglas assembly (patent pending) converts the UV radiation via a white diffuser.
The Visi-Blue™ Converter Plates convert UV to 460-470nm for viewing various stained gels including Gel Green, SYBR Green, SYPRO orange and GFP.
The Plexiglas is mounted in a durable scratch-resistant metal housing for durability. Handles are situated on two sides of the plate for easy handling.
Two plates are available to fit on the transilluminator filter surface.
